The Planning Commission advises the City Council on planning matters and implements planning policies adopted by the City Council. The Commission is required by State Law to take steps toward the development and adoption of the General Plan and to implement that Plan toward the orderly growth of the community. Five members nominated by individual Councilmembers, appointed by the Mayor, and confirmed by the City Council. The term is four years and/or coterminous with the nominating Councilmember's term. Must be a City resident.
Public hearings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month; Study Sessions are held on the days listed on the meeting schedule.
